About me
I am a multimedia journalist from Southern California and currently an Associate Producer (AP) at KTLA 5. I write and edit stories for live broadcast and online publication. As an AP, I collaborate with lead producers and anchors to produce the morning news.
I have a Master’s degree in Journalism from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. I earned this in May 2024.
At USC, I held editor positions at two news desks in our student newsroom. I am currently an editor for Dímelo, our Latinx-focused desk, as well as for LA School Report, where we cover the Los Angeles Unified School District. I also wrote for our print, television and radio outlets. I've covered the 2024 Primary Election, the evolving ways journalists cover climate change, the local blood supply shortage, and more.
Before attending USC, I was a local reporter at the Press-Enterprise/Southern California News Group. I covered cities and school districts in Southern California.
Before that, I worked for City News Service in Los Angeles and freelanced on the side, writing articles, shooting photos, and creating videos for several publications, including CALÓ NEWS.
In 2022, I interned at Los Angeles Magazine, managing story budgets and writing articles that catered to L.A.'s diverse community. I also interned for EdSource, collaborating with other reporters on integral educational reporting.
Through multimedia journalism, I aim to tell impactful stories that inform the public and document important moments. I want to tell diverse stories and amplify the voices of the communities that I cover.
