Dímelo
Editor (May 2023 - Present)

I managed a team of multiple reporters assigning articles and editing up to 40+ stories on deadline. I mentored non-journalism majors in creating pieces and long-form multimedia projects for Snapchat that garnered over 10,000 viewers and helped design and edit a Zine.

Multimedia Reporter (May 2023 - Present)

I created written pieces that included going to Iowa to speak to caucus-goers for the Iowa Caucus and interviewing Latino alumni at USC. I also worked on audio pieces where I spoke to United Auto Workers during their 2023 strikes and another where I had my blood drawn out while interviewing the American Red Cross during their blood shortage.

I was competitively hired to join a 2 person team where I managed, collaborated, and communicated with staff writers, assigning and editing multiple stories on deadline regarding one of the largest school districts in America, Los Angeles Unified School District focusing on community events, programs, and data.

Local Reporter (May 2023 - June 2023)

I covered seven cities in southwest Riverside County reporting daily on homelessness issues, education, and community stories that had thousands of readers. I frequently collaborated with
fellow reporters on breaking and investigative news stories.

As an Editorial Assistant I worked on the news wire's budget sheet, reading countless press releases and writing condensed info for broadcast, radio and print news outlets. As well as, work on the company's website by uploading stories.

As an editorial intern, I fact-checked articles before publication. I wrote articles that touched on topics affecting the Los Angeles community.

I manage, collaborate, and communicate with staff writers and section editors and approve and copy edit their stories. As Art Director, I created photos and illustrations for online and print publications. I also manage, edit and review all art published on The Bulletin that is received from other writers.

I create advertisement videos and photos for print, online, and social media. I am in charge of projects, such as tutorial videos for the campus website, social media campaign designing and directing videos for our campus mascot. On top of this, I take photos and videos at all campus events.
