A night market that’ll become the staple of your Los Angeles experience

Avenue 26 on Imperial Street, a hub for the L.A. food scene, is where one can find themselves walking the night market with vendors on either side selling everything from sweet desserts to mouthwatering tacos.

With so many vendors, it may be hard to choose where to go, so here is a list to help you get your night adventure started.

Chuladas Burgers

Chuladas Burgers is the place to get your burger for the night. Luis Garcia started Chuladas Burgers in 2020 during the peak of the pandemic. His signature “Smash Burger,” a smashed-down double patty, accompanied with toasted brioche buns, bacon, American cheese, grilled onions and thousand island sauce, is a hit with night market visitors. Accompanied with french fries, Chuladas Burgers serves up a super meal that any burger-lover is bound to enjoy.

La Tóxica Desserts

Satisfy your sweet tooth with delicious desserts from La Tóxica. Mayra Cazares, founder of La Tóxica, puts her own twist on traditional desserts like the tres leches cake and tiramisu. Cazares was a baker for 22 years before deciding to use her experience and love for baking in her very own business. Branching out, she created La Tóxica to bring a delightful menu with an array of desserts. Cazares’s favorite creation of her’s is “El Tóxico,” her signature Chocoflan which is a double-layered, mouthwatering dessert that alone is worth the trip to Avenue 26.

Birria Los Dos Carnales

When walking through the market, you will most likely see people pass by with their enticing tacos. Just know they’re most likely from a fairly new vendor at Avenue 26, Birria Los Dos Carnales. With 15 years of cooking in his back pocket, owner Joel Mendez, brings his favorite dishes to the night market. Here you can find their doraditos and their delicious quesataco that is a quesadilla and a taco combined, making a meal as delicious as it sounds.

Las Chelaguas

Craving something refreshing? Las Chelaguas is the perfect stop for delicious, photo-worthy drinks. Leo Torres brings his popular drinks to the night market. With drinks like horchata rimmed with mazapan and nutella or their strawberry milk adorned with Marias cookies and wafers, the menu is packed with all the flavors you can think of. You will want to try every one of them.

Sweeter High

An unexpected dessert that makes so much sense: mini pancakes. Creator of Sweeter High, Carmen Garibay, has been bringing the classic morning breakfast into the night for over a year. The dessert can be customized by adding toppings like chocolate, caramel syrup, strawberries or M&M’s for those candy enthusiasts. The possibilities are endless, making it a must have treat for the night.


The night market is located at 2300 E 15th Street Los Angeles CA 90021 and open Thursday-Friday at 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturday-Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
